The Solstice has been recalled 6 times. The 2006 and 2007 model years have been involved in the most campaigns.
Recalls are free repairs, initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Pontiac itself, for a widespread safety problem. They might be a pain, but a recalled problem is better than an ignored one.

Well, turns out it's not so flexible since GM announced the sensor can get damaged by – get this – sitting on the seat. Oh, what a world.
After nearly 1,000 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), GM recalled 91,000 Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky cars.
